About
I’m Courtney – full-time Programme Manager and part-time PhD student at King’s College London, Co-Founder, Co-Editor, and Regular Writer for Inspire the Mind. I know, the maths doesn’t quite add up.
In my role as a researcher, my main focus is depression, childhood trauma, and the interplay with physical health, exploring the role of something we call inflammation. I also dedicate my time to projects which are developing best practices for how research is conducted – how we can make clinical trials better, and how we can best conduct research with young people.
In my writing, I like to demonstrate the way that almost anything relates back to our mental health. I love to explore the research around our personality traits, daily experiences, and societal events, and reflect on how it all fits into the broader picture of mental health.
